Drive Axle for Forklifts - The piece of equipment which is elastically fastened to the framework of the vehicle using a lift mast is the forklift drive axle. The braking and drive torques of the drive axle on tis particular unit of forklift are sustained by the extension arms through the rear bearing parts on the framework. The forces created by the lift mast and the load being carried are transmitted into the floor or street by the vehicle framework through the front bearing parts of the drive axle.
